The Vaerskaldr Festival Report

General Summary

The party awoke to the town's fireworks and bells and immediately began to drink heavily while feasting. After eating, they began to tour the town's festivities like arm wrestling, beer drinking, trivia answering, riddle telling, squid whacking, talent showing; they even got to draw from the Deck of Many Things. To finish the day's events, they gathered with the townspeople on the shore, seeing the giant statues from the entrance of town moved to overlook the giant aboleth made of straw. The elder council spokesman gave a great speech honoring the city's heroes and lead the singing of the city's anthem. Then Parker Peter got his chance to carry the torch in the ceremonial lighting of the aboleth. Once lit, the flames began to spread over the giant aboleth; the fire burned hot and bright. From underneath came the real aboleth, unexpected by the townspeople but the party was ready to fight. Fighting valiantly, the party truly defeated the foul monster. The terrified crowd began to calm, and then cheer for the new saviors.
