The Manticore Bazyak

Many years before the Tardoren arrived on the shore's of Erendoc's desert, said desert was home to a behemoth of a Manticore. A creature with the head of a man, the body of a lion and the wings of a dragon, with large spines and razer sharp claws. The creature stood 50ft tall, with a wingspan near 300ft wide. It's name. Bazyak.   The Tardoren were a people who had known struggle, who had fought against the old Gods, and survived, yet this beast, this behemoth of a creature, stood representative of the hard and harsh life that awaited them in Erendoc. Bazyak was known by the people of Erendoc who lived nearby, that it would steal livestock and people, a scourge to those nearby. And this scourge had set its eyes upon the ship's carrying the Tardoren to the new land.   As they neared closer the Tardoren could see pillars of rock crack and fall, the sound reaching them soon after. Deafening cracks and thunderous earthquakes. As one hero, a blonde woman, covered in red clothes, with a greatsword sheathed along her back, drew her blade and stepped of the bow of the ship. She did not sink, or swim, she began to float above the waves, running full sprint towards the shore. As the waves grew behind her, she lept, sailing forward, cutting through the air, meeting the beast.   Her blade found its mark in the beast eye, the howl and cry of the beast being heard across Estalan. She then pulled the blade out, dragging the eye with it, before climbing into the beast skull through it's now empty eye socket. She carved her name in the beasts brain, killing it, as it collapsed to the ground with such force, it caused waves heading out to sea to rise.   Over many years the creatures bones still sit in Bazyak lower, the rib bones eroding and calcifying, being indistinguishable from the rock pillars around it.
