The world is ancient, but such things are trivial to long-lived people and such people dominate the world. The elves control the most territory with the dwarves ruling to the south. War ravages the lands to the west where the goblin's reign, but despite this, there is a general sense of stability. Be unbeknownst to the world at large, the world's most ancient evil seeks to return and lay waste to all the elves have created.
