The Plan
No matter how clever, riddles shall not be used when boasting about one's Plan.
Any flaws found by the child(ren) advisor(s) shall be immediately corrected.
There will be no striking bargains with demonic figures only to double-cross them.
The Plan shall not be labeled and left lying around for a Hero to find.
The final step of the Plan shall be simple, with little left to chance.
Making an enemy's death look like an accident is typically pointless, as no one believes it.
Funding is to be balanced so as to reflect a wide variety of possible defenses and weapons, partially ensuring that if the Plan fails the Overlord's realm will not also fail.
All completion dates on the Plan shall be post-dated a few days in case of theft.
The Plan's label shall be switched with the label of a less important document.
The Plan shall never involve tricking the Hero and then leaving him to his own devices.
The qualifications of sacrificial victims shall be tested immediately before the ceremony.
The Overlord shall never bait a trap with the genuine article.
If there are several Plans, they shall be set in motion simultaneously if logistically possible.
Any poison must be proved as deadly and not a mere sleep-aide.
Ultimate incantations using large amounts of energy are only to be conducted in secure areas.
Rituals requiring a virgin are to be considered extremely risky.
If there is doubt on the matter, the Overlord shall assume that a secret is known by the enemy.
More than one batch of essential materials shall be created before the Plan is in motion.
Stealthy approaches shall be used if possible.
Staging points are to be conducted from defensible and/or hidden locations.
Before invasions, research is to be conducted on the past attempts of others to avoid repeats.
Bombardment from a distance covers a large number of tactical problems.
