Personal history
Pistachio was once a cashew farmer with her inn-keeping family in a small cultural melting pot village nearby the City of Millennial Tree. She had a family of 4 cousins and two younger twins along with her grandmother as the current matriarch. Unlike her family, she is a gifted prodigy and has smarts despite not born with any magical talent. She even went to the most prestigious university once before she was kicked out for her behavioral misconduct. Afterwards, she spends most of her time lazing around at the farm caring little to contribute, much to her family's dismay.
However, that all changed when she was forced babysit young Spearmint once one of her family members decided to consult with the Baba Yaga(telling with them Pistachio's only change of heart is to meet this young Cookie). It is through many misadventures and bonding with Spearmint does Pistachio change her heart, until its actually too late as her true purpose of babysitting is to drag Spearmint out of her already suicidal thoughts and ideas. So when Spearmint killed herself, Pistachio is put into the state of grief for being unable to save her. That and she was among the unfortunate to get caught into the Second Wave of Darkness.
What happened afterwards is the fact she was in coma for about 12000 years, until she was struck by the lilac lightening telling her of the duty she mustn't fail at. Pistachio doesn't know what that duty is, but now she is in different time-frame without any guidance as to what had happened to the world and her family, she had no choice but to follow through the order. Knowing whatever had happened, Darkness is responsible for this.

Mental Trauma
Pistachio suffered from Depression after failing to save Spearmint. However that was worsened by the fact she has a disorienting sense of time after getting into coma. Knowing her family she knows are dead by the time she's awake, she falls into deeper depression and gained some PTSD along the way.
