The Wise Man

"Let me tell you how it is," the wise man said, before a coughing fit interrupted his words. But he recovered, and he told me words of wisdom, and of love.

The wise man was many things in his life. A loving father and grandfather, a poet, a researcher, a stargazer, a sculptor, and so much more. A man who used his hands a lot, but his mind way more. He studied language and the people, talked about those forgotten so that they would be remembered, told of their history as exposed by their words. And he did so much more. The stars turned into lines of code, to look at and learn. Language turned into rules, into code, to study and to use. Mind to words to meaning, and kindness into love.
