Blackdune Station

Located at the northern end of the railroad between Blackdune and Mauvebay, Blackdune Station is most famous for its use of stained glass in the overarching roof of its main hall. Each side of the hall has 3 rows of near-identical panels from the north to the south. Since simplicity is a part of Grayburn's culture, the stained glass is rather simple in nature.   The station exists of a main hall, which contains the track used for passenger trains, and two side-halls for cargo. The trains split just before the station, with separate locomotives leading the passenger wagons into the main hall, and the cargo wagons into one of the cargo halls. Cargo is unloaded in the Eastern hall, and loaded in the Western hall simultaneously. This allows for the train to leave again shortly after its arrival. Once unloaded, the cargo train will leave the station, then come back to enter the other cargo hall.

Society Connected

The glass art features nine major coloured cogs with figures representing the Nine Cities, connected through chains of smaller cogs. Each city is represented by its own colour, such as a mauve cog for Mauvebay, with the colour near-exactly matching the colours that have led to the cities their monikers. Most connecting cogs are ocean-coloured, while Blackdune and Mauvebay are connected by brown-and-black cogs.   The art symbolises the way Grayburn is a single connected society, with each city being an essential part and all cities being a well-oiled machine connected to each other. The smaller cogs symbolize the way the cities are connected, with most using steam ships while only Blackdune and Mauvebay are connected by railroad.
