Amsterdamned - Plothook & Stats

Possible plothooks

Eye Spy
In eight days, three Dutch Penose leaders are having a meeting with some Yakuza representatives, and they chose the Amsterdamned as their meeting spot. This meeting will not only have a big impact on the Vory, but may also boost the involved leaders their reputation. As such, there are several parties interested in the meet.   The runners have been hired to infiltrate the Amsterdamned, getting in there before security tightens up, then figure out a way to eavesdrop on the meet. Whoever is the anonymous party that hired them, they want the meeting to go on uninterrupted. For this job, the runners are offered 6k each, plus a discretionary budget of 2k nuyen total to use for their rooms and other expenses.   The runners can socialize with the staff and security, pretending to be runners laying low for a while as they plant their espionage equipment. Soon they can discover two other teams have infiltrated the hotel, and one of them intends to attack the meet. Once the runners discover this fact, they can tell their Johnson, who will offer them 4k each if they manage to prevent the attack. They even offer a total of 12k each if the runners prevent the attack, don't cause the meet to be blown off, and still spy on it.
Rice Cake Run
A bartender at the luxury part of the Amsterdamned, nicknamed Mochi after the snack they always serve their customers, has a bit of a food problem. A Vory lieutenant has raided their supplier yesterday, so now they are rapidly running out of mochi cakes. With some loyal customers arriving soon, Mochi needs this problem fixed within eight hours.   The runners are hired to raid the lieutenant's apartment, and bring back as much of the mochi he stole as possible. Each crate, and there are 8 total remaining, will get them 1k nuyen per runner. There's just one problem: The lieutenant is currently hosting an Urban Brawl party, with dozens of Vory members visiting and watching the match. The entire floor he lives on, is swarming with Vory. He lives in a flat building with twenty floors, so other floors can be used as point of entry, but it won't be easy.   There are a total of thirty-six Vory members on the floor, for all practical purposes split into grunt groups of size 3 (see PR4 sample statblocks in Sixth World, p207). A third of the groups is drunk on alcohol (Sixth World, p124), a third is using Cram (Sixth World, p124), a third is on Novacoke (Sixth World, p125). There are no working cameras in the building, and all doors use mechanical key locks of rating 4 (Sixth World, p240-241).

Stats

Guards
The Amsterdamned has five groups of PR5-rated guards on watch at all times, each group consisting of 5 normal grunts (see Sixth World PR6 DocWagon HTR Officer, p207) and 1 hermetic mage (see Sixth World PR5 Lone Star Combat Mage, p207) . All their electronics are slaved to the Security Host. One group patrols the shoebox-half, one group patrols the luxury half, one guards the lobby of the luxury half, and two guard the hidden section of the hotel.   The four Hosts are guarded by four Spiders, one per Host, who switch Host every minute so that if one goes down, the others will soon find out. If an attack is detected, all Hosts will launch IC and two Spiders will face the intruders, while the other two will team up to patrol the remaining Hosts. If an attack lasts more than 30 seconds, four more Spiders will arrive after 1 minute. These PR6 Spiders have rating 5 on all their mental attributes, and rating 6 on all relevant skills.
Security Systems
On the west side, all doors are solid wood. On the east side, all rooms use security doors, other doors are wooden with a metal core. All windows are armoured glass, exterior walls are plascrete, interior walls are made from kevlar wallboards. Each floor only opens to staff keycards or keycards of people staying at the floor. The west side uses Rating 3 Maglocks with keycards, and the east side uses Rating 6. (For Structure Ratings, see Sixth World p113. For locks, see Sixth World p241.)   The West Side Host (Rating 3, 4/3/6/5) looks like a slummy coffin motel. Nested within is the East Side Host (Rating 3, 4/3/6/5), decorated like luxury. Underneath that is the Security + Administration Host (Rating 3, 4/5/3/6), styled like a medieval fortress. At the very deepest is the Hidden Side (Rating 4, 5/6/4/7), which looks like a speakeasy.
