This was once a fantasy world like many in D&D, ruled by power monsters, Archwizards, Hierophants and Warrior Princes. Then in a moment of inspiration and experimentation, the world was shattered as the nature of magic itself was transmuted. The old ways of spells and prayers failed, as Mana was transmuted into Chakra and the lands were shattered forever. In time the survivors mastered Chakra as well as attempting to preserve what powers of the ancients still function. The peoples of this new world are insular and divided into many clans that vie for dominance.
