Oaris (Or-is)
Goddess of Sprits
Oaris is the goddess of Sprits. She is generally seen as the goddess of death as well, and as such cemetery’s typically pop up around her temples. Unlike other deities, she does not favor being worshiped directly, and thus does not have many temples. She is seen as a neutral deity, as death is a bittersweet part of life. People may pay respects to her temple when a death happens, at funerals, and during mourning. Though, depending on the region, it can be seen as taboo to pay respects too long after a loss. Being the goddess of sprits, she also oversees the afterlife. If anyone wants to commune with the dead, they must go through her. She respects natural deaths, and dislikes necromancy and suicide. She does not like being worshiped regularly, and therefore does not care if one worships other deities. Her symbol is a Pillar.
