Lyra Dawnbringer
Lyra Dawnbringer is an angel Commander of the Serra Angels of the Order of Dawn and Protector of Benalia on Dominaria. Lyra is the leader of the Order of Dawn, named after the famous angel Reya Dawnbringer. Reya died defending Benalia during the Phyrexian Invasion of Dominaria. Now Lyra continues Reya's mission of protecting Benalia and is sometimes accused of being too involved in Benalish political affairs, a course of action she is more likely to justify than to deny.
Lyra bars the entrance of Gideon and Liliana at the gates of Benalia City, stating that the necromancer cannot enter. After Gideon clarified that they were going to kill Belzenlok, and especially after Lyra read a letter of recommendation sent by Rael explaining the help of the two planeswalkers in Josu's defeat, Lyra agrees with Liliana's entry into the city.
