Karn’s Temporal Sundering
As you cast this spell, the silver used as the material component melts and becomes liquid, then swallows a willing creature that you touch before vanishing entirely and reappearing in the same location at the end of your turn. The target is sent a short way back in time, appearing in the same location or the nearest unoccupied space and allowing it to interact with the past without being interacted with. The target can take a number of actions up to or equal to your spellcasting modifier, whose effects are then retroactively applied, as determined by the DM. When the target reappears, it suffers one level of exhaustion for each action it chose to take. If you cast this spell as a ritual, you instead send the target back in time a number of hours of your choice, up to your spellcasting modifier, following the same rules as if the spell had been cast using a spell slot as normal. When the target reappears, it automatically suffers one level of exhaustion for each hour that it was sent back in time.
Legendary Spell You must be 20th level or above in order to cast this spell.
