Tiefling

Tieflings are created by many different influences. Most commonly a mortal makes a deal with a devil or demon that influences their offspring to have similar traits. They have also been produced by interspecies relationships and generational traits being passed down naturally.
Tieflings can also be produced as a result of friendish trauma. They will often appear as their race of origin with key tiefling features such as colorful skin tones, horns, tails, etc. These traumas can include but are not limited to, fiendish rituals, broken pacts, or death by a fiend (transformed after resurrection).
As previously mentioned tieflings present with a variety of features. Most tieflings have at least two or more of the following features; colorful skin, horns, tails, goat legs, sclera-lacking eyes, etc. Tieflings are most similar to humans, in both stature and lifespan.
Tieflings don't have a strong sense of heritage or culture. This is due to the variety in which they are made. When finding traditional tiefling cultures they most often value independence and artistic expression. Especially in the case of a traumatic creation, tieflings view themselves as not responsible for others and need to look out for their interests. This is not to say that they are self-serving by nature but simply use their independence as a survival or trauma response. Due to this independence and traumatic origins tieflings naturally gravitate towards the arts to express themselves. Even if it is not their specialty many tieflings will have a sketchbook, instrument, or widdling knife in their back pocket.
