Celestial Material

Celestial material is a catchall term used to descibe any of an infinite number of materials that come from the Plane of Elemental Chaos. The price noted is a base price and represents the lower-end median cost of these materials. For instance, you may pay the displayed price for a piece of rubble or something of no value, yet because it comes from that plane of existence AND bears the celestial properties, it has inherent value. You would likewise expect to pay considerably more for a unit of pure celestial metal.

Though it is not an actual law, there is an inherent understanding that any discovery of any type of celestial material should be reported to the the clerics of Althea or, in the instance that there are none reasonably close, the clerics of Perturabo or Nedia for verification and retrieval. Oddly enough, once it is verified, the clestial material is then carefully crafted into an object by the most skilled artisans available and promptly returned to the person that discovered it. Additional Note:  The discoverers of celestial material that have received their items are closely watched by the followers of both Althea and Perturabo. This is done for two reasons. To ensure that an object so revered does not fall into the wrong hands, and to learn why the celestial material appeared to them. Oftentimes, these recipients forge paths of greatness, whether it is recognized by all or not. The eyes of the devoted carefully take notice of each miniscule detail, which are compiled into a rather large series of texts. The location of these texts is currently unknown to all but the most devout followers of Althea.
