The Headlands of Vesh

The Headlands of Vesh was known by a different name when the location was still operational. Old Berusa was a port town, housing a vast market and variety of shellfish and seafood. Near the end of the Dawn War though, in the year 311, a fight in the Sanguine Tide ocean caused a severe Tsunami to rattle the coastline. The Peninsula, including the city of Old Berusa, was destroyed. Much of the island never rose back above the tides, sinking into the shallow depths of the waves. Rumors speak of Sirens, Merfolk and other dangerous creatures attempting to lure sailors into the water near Old Berusa. All Navy men of The Crimson Vanguard steer clear of the peninsula due to this reason. Few ships dare take the shortcut, squeezing between the peninsula and the main land. The sailors on those vessels never return to the sea after what they encountered.
