Personal history
Family
Gromli is the middle child in his family, between his older brother Domri and younger sister. He grew up in a small peaceful town in the middle of nowhere named Hillbrook, somewhere in the hilly country far inland from the Sword Coast (and probably south of the Savage Frontier).Hillbrook is primarily the home of halflings and dwarves. It is said that the Rockwythe family built Hillbrook's first homes, and decided to stay there after seeing how nice the area was.
Business
Gromli's father runs the masonry in Hillbrook, and the family business has been passed down for generations from father to eldest child. The Rockwythe Family Masonry prides itself in building the sturdiest walls for anyone who needs them, and they are occasionally contracted for projects even as far as Waterdeep, far to the north. A few nobles believe they can only trust the hands of a Rockwythe with rare and expensive stone.Growing Up & Background
Gromli was a happy dwarf, content in his life of working for an honest living, proud of his heritage, and connected with the community of Hillbrook. At some point, however, he took up map drawing as a hobby, and happened across a group of nomadic druids as they were passing by. He asked them to show him druidic magic, and the druids saw potential in him, asking him to travel with them for a few years. Gromli accepted, and traveled with the druids for five years, learning of ecology, the balances of nature, and magic. He came back home when the druids could teach him no more and insisted that he continue to let nature be his teacher.
Some years passed where Gromli used his magic for the good of Hillbrook, then he heard the call of a recruitment drive for a guild that claimed to be traveling to a new continent, and they were in need of researchers and wildlife experts.
With love and support from his family, he decided to answer that call, and months later, he found himself in Ossen with his new guild mates.

History
Gromli towards Percy:
Gromli respects anyone willing to put in days of hard work. Through working together on various building projects around Fortune's Point, Percy and Gromli have become great friends (though he still is oblivious to Percy's secrets).
History
Gromli towards Soren:
Gromli doesn't approve of Soren taking just whatever he wants from the corpses of unfortunate people... but Soren does share Gromli's respect for nature, in his own way. For that, Gromli trusts him.
History
Gromli towards Yaz:
Gromli detests anyone who would steal from his "family", and he already didnt like goblinoids. However, Gromli has great respect for Meridala, who trusts Yaz, and therefore has faith that Yaz is trustworthy.
History
Gromli towards Gilla:
Gromli has a great deal of respect toward Gilla, having lived around halflings enough to know that great things come in small sizes. He has great confidence in her abilities, and knows she is more than capable of taking care of herself.
History
Gromli towards Oberia:
Gromli respects Oberia and sees her as a tutor of sorts. She reminds him of the wise druids from which he learned nature magic, and is awed by some of the revelations she speaks. Where everyone else in Fortune's Point reminds him of his home and masonry, Oberia reminds him of those five formative years that probably brought him to this continent.
