Pantheon of Osnaveena

The Pantheon of Osnaveena was created in stages:

First came Veena, the Mother of all
Veena created three children:
  • Sa, who is the god of the moon
  • Wen, who is the goddess of the sun
  • Os, who is the androgynous god of the earth

  • Gradually, Sa, Os and Wen found that they could not understand their creations. As the generations passed, their needs became alien and incomprehensible to the deities. And so the Minor Gods to better address the needs of their people. These minor gods were taken from the mortals themselves who, when they died, ascended to godhood. Each has their own realm.

    The minor gods

    Fire:

    Species: Saa’
Ssas is one of the little-known Saa, and indeed to most mortals his species is a mystery. He was one of the premier fire mages of the olden times, and the first of the minor gods to ascend.

    Water:

    Species: Wenver
    Name: Welynwy
Welynwy was originally a Monk before he became a God. This water-deity found his divinity through enlightenment, and after much meditation he became one with the Weave. The Wenver worship him as a handmaiden of the goddess Wen, but believe him to be female.

    Earth:

    Metal:

    Species: Gos
    Name: Vortch
The last god, Vortch, was originally a female Gos hero, before the time of the golden age of the Empire. She did great works of smithing and accomplished great feats in battle, in the name of the previous God of Metal, Bahca, who Na'Edan had destroyed.

    Void

    Name: “The UnknownGod”.
The unknown deity is actually the god of the void. To him is ascribed all the random attributes of danger, bad luck and misfortune.

Beneath these minor deities lie the high priestesses and priests of the higher gods, who walk the earth. They are semi-deities in their own right with some limited divine powers. They can occasionally determine the will of their great gods but are very secretive, and are said to exact an unpayable price for their wisdom.
