Frostfall

FROZEN EARTH, SILENT SEAS

A barren tundra that borders the Winter Gates, Frostfall is a small state under the Atrian Empire. Frostfall was originally the home of tribal Giant-kin and Dragonborn, but during the Gaudean Era, the Elves drove away many of the native inhabitants and offered stay only to those who would serve the purposes of the Elven Empire.
To this day, Atria keeps a tight hold over Frostfall to hold claim over the many relics and artifacts left behind by the ancient Elven regime, but does very little to support the inhabitants against the harsh environment.

GEOGRAPHY

Frostfall is in the northeastern regions of Cordania west of the Calabrine Sea and east of the Frozen Sea. Frostfall is surrounded by icy mountains, taiga forests, and tall glaciers from the Frozen Sea.

Whitehold Prison - A holding designated as a maximum security prison for offenders of the Atrian Empire


Gelari Mountains - The snowy mountain range that takes up most of Frostfall's land


Calabrine Sea - The sea enveloped by the Gelari Mountains and the northeastern glaciers of Cordania
The Frozen Sea - The inland sea in Cordania's northeastern region that is frozen solid for most of the year


The Cascading Rivers - A river that pours from the Gelari Mountains into the mouth of the Frozen Sea


Whitesky Forest - A taiga forest resting at the western base of the Gelari Mountains


Winterwake - A small lumber town and researcher base on the west edge of the Gelari Mountians and on the eastern banks of the Cascading River
Snowhaven - The capital city of Frostfall, cradled on the eastern base of teh Gelari Mountains and on the coast of the Calabrine Sea
Stirial - A port city at the eastern-most point of the Gelari Mountains

DEMOGRAPHIC

The majority of of Frostfall's demographic consists of Elves who have descended from a long line of survivalists who have learned the ways of the frozen land. Besides these Elves are the remaining tribes of Giant-kin and Dragonborn who have lived in Frostfall since the Gaudean Era.

RELIGION

As an Elven state, Frostfall retains the highest exaltation for Quevala, the goddess of life, but due to Frostfall's intimate relationship with the icy environment, there is a distinct respect for Othat, the God of Winter, and his domain.
