Orre Region
Geography
A cold desert, guarded by mountains and a dead volcano in the north, and an ocean in the west. For the longest time, there was very little to the region beyond wasteland, and some greenery in the mountains. Strangely, however, in the last five years, more oasis have appeared, bringing with them small forests, and more Pokemon.
Fauna & Flora
The primary flora of interest, to all people in the region, are Pokemon. Pokemon can be hard to find in the wastelands. PokeSpots are limited. Five years ago, there were three; now there are five. The pokemon you can find are from all over the world: Unovan Pokemon are just as likely as Kanto or Kalos or even Alola. It's unknown where exactly these Pokemon live. Most people assume that if they come to a Pokespot, they want to battle, or ally with a Trainer.
While pokemon are limited, actual animals are not so rare. Fish of many kinds live in the ocean and mountain rivers. Rabbits and snakes live in the desert. A pack of wild horses are rumored to live in the mountains alongside horse-like pokemon, but no one has seen them in 20 years.
Natural Resources
Mining used to be one of the most common jobs. Even today, prospectors still search the mines to find valuable rocks and metals. Scrap metals can be found in the desert wastelands, buried beneath the sands. By the coast, sailors transport cargo to and from the region, and capture fish with their aquatic pokemon. In the north, a few farms can be found in the green areas, and in the scattered forests, small forestry and logging jobs can be found.
