Rocanius

Ideals & Flaws

The God of dreams, pacts, and change is sometimes called the faceless god, or the Witness. His power is woven into the magical rites and rituals of spellcraft, especially those concerning the summoning of familiars from the plane known as the Gallery where his divine essence resides. Rocanius is a new god of the pantheon who devoured the Goddess Pondera when her domains were splintered by both his inception and Goldmyr. The death of an Endless is a rare, and troubling event that many believe is a sign that the age may soon turn, but as of yet the young god has time to settle into the throne he has usurped.   As a God of pacts, bonds and adaptability Rocanius has quickly gained a following from occultists, hedge-mages, and apostates studying the arts of arcana in secret with the aid of a patron's power. These warlocks communicate to the Witness through their dreams, and their familiars share their secrets, discoveries, desires, and ambitions with Rocanius as they move between the prime material plane and the Gallery.   Since the advent of the Witness the familiars of Orr have gained a new and evolved sense of selfhood. They have become much more independent from their masters with developed personalities and shared memories between their summoners.

    Temples & Priesthoods

The priesthood of Rocanius is newly formed and await the young god's direction in how their faith should be administered but they have begun to adopt the colors of purple, black and gold in his honor. As a god of dreams, and magic the shrines built to commune and make offerings to Rocanius have taken the form of arcane grimoires and diaries filled with ambitious personal works being placed beneath the follower's pillow or bedroll during their rest. These books, whether spellbooks or personal journals are to be kept hidden from all except the witness whom they share their secret desires, fantasies and dreams with in the hope that the faceless god will help them be fulfilled.
