Lycanthrope
Any human-canid species, whether able to shift forms between one or the other or not, made Supernatural by certain means, such as transmission through bite, or a curse, or in some other way are afflicted. It is almost always the case that a human-to-canid is afflicted with lycanthropy, rather than a canid-to-human although it is suspected there are many specimens that roam the forests as wolves and never assume a human form.
Most lycanthropes tend to have preternatural abilities, ranging from superhuman strength, to accelerated healing, to incredible speed. They possess an accelerated metabolism, which requires them to consume extra food to survive. While some are capable of shifting forms at will, others may be cyclical and subject to the phases of one or more moons.
Lycanthropes are excellent hunters, but are susceptible to human moods and behaviors which can, under the right circumstances, turn them into savages. They can be found in small packs, in small communities, or alone, and are capable of blending into civilized society without detection.
