PINNACLE was a major corporation, founded in the 23rd century

Origin

PINNACLE was founded in the year 2275 as a bio-medical research corporation. It was initially a rather small outfit with only ten members before a major investment was made in 2299 which saw the corporation become much larger.
PINNACLE are now known for their pioneering bio-engineering and research.

Structure

PINNACLE are run with private shareholders and a board of directors who appoint a CEO. Their current CEO is also a major shareholder. Iylah Falzon, the protege of the companies founding father Dr Brett Kordwell, as seen PINNACLE go through some major changes

Products

PINNACLE carry out bio-medical research on limp replacement, augmentation and skin / tissue regeneration. PINNACLE also develop drugs for medical procedures and also develop their medical machinery and devices.
PINNACLE are well known for their pioneering and low-cost bio-augmentation facilities. These Horizon Clinics have been springing up across the Core-Worlds and are starting to appear in the Frontier too.
In 2368 the Senate voted to allow the trading of Apollo and Saturn programs which would radically alter human DNA. This "post human project" promised to deliver huge health benefits and potentially extend human life by hundreds of years.
The Apollo program was hugely expensive and invasive but the Saturn program, which simply gave some health benefits, was made very affordable.
This new product greatly boosted the corporate performance of PINNACLE.

Dissolution

PINNACLE were bought out in a hostile takeover in 2464 and broken up, essentially "asset stripped". Ending their run as a major corporation

Rivals

PINNACLE were owned for a while by a combination of the Mars colonial government and VENTRISS UDC and therefore are considered to be a puppet corporation of VENTRISS.
As a result of this, they are regarded with distrust by West-Corp and, to a lesser extent, Esprit du Nacional.
