Allied Technology was a major Terran based corporation.
Origin
Allied Technology was founded in the late 22nd century on the frontier by business-man Rafael Slade. Allied Technology was initially largely involved in hi-tech good and ship construction but later branched out.
Allied Tech (or A/T) were strongly associated with the nascent Community Party during the 22nd century.
Structure
Allied Technology is organized in a slightly less conventional way. A CEO is appointed from within the board of directors but the access to the board is partially dependent on shares and also on support from other board members. This has meant that A/T has had a very stable board of directors.
Historically the role of CEO has been dominated by the Slade family. The board of directors are still answerable to their share-holders but A/T are careful with large scale issuing of shares.
A/T employ fewer personnel than you may expect from a major corporation. They prefer to use sub-contractors and minor corporations. They own eleven minor corporations and are share-holders in a dozen more.
A/T, unlike their rivals, do not own outright a major media corporation. However they have a very good working relationship with the GTRN, owners of the GNN News Corporation

Products
Allied Technology are known for there skill in producing computers, both business, personal and military, ships, transport vehicles and weapons.
Allied Tech goods are generally quite high end but they do produce some more affordable lines through subsidiaries like Valiant CCR and Kobaalt INI
Rivals
Allied Tech have preferred not to wage corporate wars with the other big corporations. They have a decent working arrangement with West-Corp. They have had fewer positive dealings with Esprit du Nacional or VENTRISS UDC.
Allied Tech have a long standing good relationship with the Gannid Corporate Guilds.
Merger
In 2415 Allied Technology agreed a merger with West-Corp, forming a larger corporation known as Allied West
