Mount Glittergold

The hive of activity that is Mount Glittergold forms the heart of Rock Gnome activity in Vohga. The Gnomes have created a technological marvel out of the mountain and made it hospitable. Now that they have started looking towards the other countries of Vohga, who knows what they can achieve.

Demography and Population

The Gnomish population of Mount Glittergold live in, around, and on top of the mountain. The city at the core of the mountain, where most of the Gnomes live in safety, is called Glimmerstead. The city is almost fully steam-powered, with the steam coming from the warm core of the mountain. Younger Gnomes, those from ages 40-150, mostly live on top of the mountain, where there is most room for expansion and development. Inside the mountain, the ages skew older, with the oldest Gnomes living to be 350-400.

Religion

While the Gnomes recognise the broader pantheon, just like the rest of Ornam, they focus most of their worship on Garl Glittergold and his Gnomish Pantheon.

Foreign Relations

Mount Glittergold has entered the international stage recently, using the collapse of the Morawen Principalities as a jumping off point. Since the Principalities and their arcanists had to look inward, the Gnomes saw their chance to start exporting their artifice to the rest of Vohga. The Gnomish goods work well, making their debut popular.

Agriculture & Industry

Agriculture is hard for the Gnomes on their mountain, and they have to import a lot of the food they consume. Most of their diet consists of mushrooms and other edible fungi.

Legislative Body

The laws of Mount Glittergold are interpreted from Garl Glittergold himself by the wealthiest Gnomes. They don't have to spend time on creating to make money anymore, so they can spend their time and resources on religious practices.

Judicial Body

The defendent and the state both select 3 Gnomes to form a committee. Then, a random 7th Gnome's name is drawn. This committee decides the verdict, in accordance with the laws of Glittergold.

Executive Body

The Gold Hand enforces the law.
