House Sivis
House Sivis, while not the most powerful of the Dragonmarked Houses, is the most widespread. Its influence can be felt across all the continents of Ornam, and its network is essential in fast-paced communication across oceans.
The House Sivis stamp also signifies a valid contract in most civilized places of the world.
Structure
The Doyenne sits at the head of the table, at which all the families of the House gather.
Every family has their own Familial Head to represent them. How these are selected is up to the family themselves.
These Familial Heads serve as the council to the Doyenne, but she has the final say in decisions.
The Doyenne commands both the families and those agents who don't belong to a family of the House.
An agent from an influential family will have a status within their family, and outside of it. They might be heir to the Family Head, but a mere agent in the larger guild. Or they might be a guild master, but a nobody in the familial order.
Culture
Friendly, curious and engaging outwardly, but with a love of intrigue.
Schemes and feuds are common in House Sivis, and without the watchful eye of the Doyenne could threaten the House's reputation.
Public Agenda
Strict neutrality. House Sivis has the reputation of being neutral and serving no master, which has awarded them a seat at any major negotiating table. They wish to keep it that way.
Assets
The House's main assets are its reputation and its network. Sivis can get a peace contract written up, sent off, signed by both parties, and uphold indefinitely, all within an hour.
The asset that most outsiders undervalue is the libraries House Sivis runs. The Scribes Guild has the longest running record of history in Vohga, along with some of the largest collections of spell tomes anywhere in the world.
History
House Sivis Gnomes first arrived in Vohga more than a millenium ago, and have been making their services essential ever since.
