King of Ukin
Appointment
In order to be deemed Uniter King, one has to have the people's best interest in mind. Technically one can be elected by the people, but it is also possible for this position to be appointed by the seventeen council members, and the current king in a vote amongst themselves as well.
History
This title was created upon the inception of the Kingdom of Ukin, a union of 8 out of nine tribes of Lizardmen residing on the souther continent.
Cultural Significance
The King of Ukin is a title that is passed down to great unifiers. With Sinakai of the Ukin Tribe being the first of his kind to unite all but one tribe, he was the first inheritor of the title. It is also a test of character, as there is no written law for such, but oral tradition dictated that the Uniter King, derived from their tribe name Ukin, would hold the authority of all council members when the even number of council positions required a tiebreaker.
