Qualifications
A sustainable status involves weapon quality that will not shatter, fragment, crack, or break easily. More often than not, many smithy are experienced engineers, allow a sub qualification for being a weaponsmith. Similar to an artist's mark, those at the peak of their career, will be allowed to register a mark of their own to distinguish them from others. One of the highest forms of recognition is one's mark being displayed on the outside.
Payment & Reimbursement
The average highly skilled blacksmith can pull in a decent income of 200,000 raltens a year on their own with prudence, and moderation.
Blacksmiths are also given a grant of 20,000 a year, by the guild, in addition to what they bring in on their own.

Purpose
The blacksmith, next to the Engineer, are the two most versatile professions, interacting with nearly all other guilds and much of not all of daily life.
