Pudu
The city of Pudu is a small goblin city in the west of Melira. It is mostly known for its classical music and as a pilgrimage destination for bards.
As of the end of the year 831AA, the city has been under the attack of several monstrosities, leading the city in a state of disrepair.
The person that most resembles the city as a leader, is the musician's leader and conductor, Helene. Since most of the goblins are used to listening to her, they look to her for guidance. She gets supported in a way, by the owner of the restaurant, Spit.Helene, the conductor of the town and orchestra. She is an elderly female goblin, with long grey hair in a braid reaching below her waist. She is dressed in a fancy black tailcoat suit. She is very stern and highly expectant of all her musicians. She has a very caring nature for them outside of the orchestra and a soft spot for the travelling bards.
Description
Pudu is a small hamlet with approximately 50-60 houses, in the middle of the Howling Forest. The houses are mostly made out of wood and hay. In the middle of the city, there is a square, with next to it, a beautiful stone building, standing tall above the other buildings. It serves as the music center of the city. The villagers are mostly green goblins, with the occasional yellow goblin, and hobgoblins. Since the beginning of the attacks, they started to play their concertos constantly on the square, as a way to ward of the monstrosities. They also made the city smell like pine.History
Pudu used to be a small goblin roaming communion. They lived off the things the forest provided and in the evening at the campfire they enjoyed a bit of music. This bit of music is what drew in the first bard of the town. The music, very reminiscent of classical music, was not something the other musicians of the realm heard before. It wasn't long before more bards showed up and paid handsomely for the teachings of the goblins. It gave the goblins a chance to build a theater to enjoy their music in peace. This was the beginning of the village and the new lifestyle of the goblins, and the occasional visitor.Sights
Stores
Restaurant, the gobblin' goblin: A family owned restaurant, in the center of town. It is a purely wooden building. The tables are all stuffed to one side, and there is an open spot with some matresses on the ground, for the refugees having to leave their houses. They don't have any rooms for sale, since it's not a village with many visitors, but if necessary they can use the storage rooms. It is owned by Spit, (a long muscular goblin (1,20m), with short black hair, combed to the back, dressed in a white shirt and brown vest), and his wife Uraya (green goblin, long brown hair in a knot, and with a scarf covering it, dressed in a bound dress, to make sure she doesn't trip). Their kids, son Terdber (looks 15-year old, relatively tall, and broad with a soft face, long brown hair, and really desperate trying to grow a beard), and Grolla (a 9 year looking old, long black hair, in a pretty bright dress). In the restaurant, there are a few refugees and drunks. Maruo is the local drunk. He boasts about incredible tasks he never did. Wensforth and Zorth are helping the villagers and treating wounds wherever possible. Music store and theater, the eleventh symphony As the biggest and the most important building in the city, the eleventh symphony is quite elegant, and the only building made of stone and wood instead of hay. It is built out of a higher dome-like circular theater, with adjacent to it a smaller house, the music store. The store contains some of the most beautiful musical instruments in the world, enough for every goblin in the village. They are placed in very neat rows, and are very good taken care of. In the back of the store is a closet, with older, worn instruments. They are the instruments of the bards they left here before becoming masters. There are a flute, a lyre, some drums, and a lyre made out of a bird skeleton. The store is run by Kara, a elegant older goblin with short grey hair and shorn sides. She is dressed in a white blue dress. The theater hall is a dome, with chairs for all the goblins in the village, rising up. Next to the theater hall is a small room, where there is a small space for a bed for the guest bard. Game store, the homely hearth In one of the houses there is a sign of a flame and some cards. It is a simple board and card game store, ran outside of the house of the Foots. The store is run by Mudfoot, a male yellow-green goblin, barely adult. Smithy, Stubfoot's smithy Ever since the goblin village has been attacked by several monsters, Stubfoot a female yellow-green goblin, built broad, with multiple burnmarks on her arms and hands. She is dressed in badly made leather armor. Some of the bards, especially the ones from Sonian, brought books and knowledge about this. She has learned mostly from one of the bards, Morada, but as a beginner, she has made very rudimentary shields and armor. Curiosa store, Defense against the monsters In another house in a random street, there is "defense against the monsters" written on the door in paint. The store is a living room, built like a store. It is the home of an older female gobline, Dortut, long grey hair in a pony tail, and her grandson, Pluk. The rumors that have been going around the town, are being used as possible monster deterents. There are instruments, nets, drawings of monsters on wood, scentbombs (pine, lavender, honey, manure), gluebombs among others.Temples and religion
The city is in the Melira region, and here they celebrate Damh, the aspect of her that is the embodiment as a godess of music and dance. The town temple is close to the theater, and is run by Gothkin, a hobgoblin dressed in traditional clothing, a dark green billowy shirt, covered in black music notes.Government
Since Pudu is such a small village, they don't have an official form of government. They mostly rely on trades and civil discussion. The person that most resembles the city as a leader, is the musician's leader and conductor, Helene. Since most of the goblins are used to listening to her, they look to her for guidance. She gets supported in a way, by the owner of the restaurant, Spit.
