Lagomorph
Basic Information
Genetics and Reproduction
Much like their smaller, bunny counterparts, Lagomorphs are known for breeding plenty and often. Once born, a Lagomorph is given to the "breed pot", a collective brood of all the Lagomorph children. They are then raised by the colony as a whole with their primary care and learning provided by the matrons; they determine how the children are to be brought up. Once they reach a certian age, they are introduced to their original parents.
Growth Rate & Stages
Lagomorphs age close to the same as Humans, reaching adult hood by about 15 and rarely seeing 100. They are kept in the breed pot until they turn 5 years of age, then they rely solely on community up bringing. Once they reach 10 years of age, the matrons from their breed pot introduce them to their original parents; the children can then choose to continue being brought up by the community, or to stay with their parants.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Lagomorphs are primarily vegatarian, but have no issues with eating meat. Most of the food they eat are grown in large, underground farms or in careful plots on the surface above their colonies. Lagomorph warriros double as hunters, bringing back meaty food for special occasions or when in dire need of food.
Additional Information
Social Structure
Lagomorph societies are divided up by colonies, a few colonies per territory, and one royal family per territory. The individual colonies are govered by a head Elder, less of a ruler and more of a guide for the colony who owes loyalty only to their governing royal family.
Average Intelligence
Lagomorphs are very intelligant beings with their primary focus dedicated to survival techniques, diplomacy, and sciences such as ecology, geology, and other such fields. They can work well with metals, amazingly with woods, and can even graft things out of unconventional materials such as grass. They are often very curious and as such become fast learners. They pick up and languages and cultural differences with ease, often times reveling in the opportunity to further their research.

Naming Traditions
Lagomorph names tend to be soft, or elegant, but can also be more common names as well. A few examples of soft names for males may be:

Major Organizations
The Rabbiteers: a militarized collection of Lagomorphs from all territories that step forward to combat invaders or to assist an innocent society in dire need.
Beauty Ideals
Lagomorphs take their grooming seriously, keeping themselves clean and neat at all times; their fur must be soft and their coat shining. If grooming devices aren't readily available, Lagomorphs are really good with grooming themselves using their own ability. Beauty, to them, is considered clean and shining fur, well taken-care-of teeth, and an over-all healthy form.
Average Technological Level
Lagomorphs are are intelligent enough to have learned metal-working techniques and crafts to be able to provide plate-armor and sharp swords. However, they rarely see combat in such severity as to require such extremes, and so often stick to basic leather armor if required and a good, trusty spear.
Genetic Ancestor(s)
Origin/Ancestry
