Sylph

Sylphs resemble humanoids in all respects save for the pair of large feathered wings growing out of where they used to have shoulder blades. The complicated musculature required to provide sufficient strength to both them and the ordinary arms necessitates a certain broadness across the shoulders, but this is generally not noticeable alongside the stretch of the wings themselves.
The most obvious benefit to this species is that of flight, but it comes at a cost of raw strength. This flight is extremely limited in speed and duration. True flight requires a series of specific Perks, each of which grants more stable flight of a longer duration. It requires a serious build commitment to be able to fly like a bird. It is possible to shortcut that progression by taking the Winged Paragon Advanced Class, which provides substantially better flight (although not as good as the full selection of flight Perks).
