Giants

Giants were created as mighty warriors in the spectral wars to fight the dragons. They can live up to half a century. They life in power structured and enviroments. In general, bigger means stronger and stronger means more powerful.
As they are warriors by nature, their life is dominated by the fight. The fight for food, love or power. Thus, they are mostly scavengers which raid the surrounding terrotories for food and resources. They are also known to enslave lesser creatures so mostly all other creatures.
Their whole life is a fight, they have to fight to survive their childhood, find a mate and then bring them up. The fight for mates are very common and results in bloody battles between males and females to get the mate they want. A bond for life is formed when one is dominated by the others (either male or female). This person and their children are the only weaker creatures that any giant will accept and care for over an extended time.
Their clan structure is decided by brawling matches. However, it is quite uncommon that the chain of rule changes reguarly. Due to the fact that giant children often do not come of age (at around 50 years) because they die before it and that giants loose power due to age only shortly before their death. If a leader does not die, he or she may often rule a clan for one or even multiple centuries.
