Growing up in a military family on Balmorra, Ynda always had big shoes to fill as every male on her fathers’ side had served in a military branch all their lives, her older brother also served although was killed during the first skirmishes on Balmorra. She was never expected to join the service being a woman, but always felt she had to prove herself to her father. Joining shortly after her older brother she excelled in all tests and quickly got the rank of sergeant. During her service she met Randark, a man from Coruscant who flew supplies into the war zones for the republic after his trading was hindered by war. Only two years of being married she received new that Randark had been shot down during a standard supply run that went wrong. This left her alone with their then 1-year old child. Taking leave from the military to raise him she was a part of the reserves until Drexal, her son was 12 years old, when she once again joined for active duty during the peak of the cold war. She is a strong capable woman, although her mind is easily affected as she always worries about her son and thinks about her lost husband at times. She will do anything to save her fellow man and will go far to stay alive as not to leave her child an orphan.
Ynda was killed during a routine transport run on Balmorra, her group was ambushed by the Ordo, mistakenly presumed to be from the Empire, leaving Drexal an orphan. He was lucky enough to be taken inn by his grandparents, and grew up to be a politician, trying to change the world through politics and fighting for his beliefs.
