Mission briefing
Legate Fia revealed to the Ordo that supplies were needed. For that purpose, she gave the group some money, which could be used to buy food, water, medical supplies for Crusader Azamya, as well as everything else the Ordo could find, regarding useful things. Legate Craft’lon revealed that he would be working on the ship, so the command fell to me, Crusader Avon Zeta. Additionally, the Crusaders were introduced to Fe’ryina, a new member of the Ordo, and fighter for the cause. She was to accompany us on this mission.
The mission
The Ordo landed planetside according to plan, in disguises. Everyone had their face covered so that facial recognition will be impossible. While making their way to a nearby city, Crusader Delawar asked a local, where the best place to buy supplies would be. He then received instructions, how to get there. At a fork in the road, the Ordo was approached by a young Togruta male, who accompanied us to the town. I asked him some questions; apparently, the locals are quite happy with Republic protection. I would not expect many willing to join our cause here. Upon entering the town, our ways parted, and I ordered everyone to buy supplies. Centuri Arrtrok said that he had seen something following us through the forest, and went out to investigate, turning off his comm. I ordered Delawar to get him back. Somewhere between this order and Delawar meeting Arrtrok, his communicator was stolen, probably while a crowd of people was passing by. Daemonium Rex (further only referred to as ‘Rex’) started arguing with one of the people in the group. Delawar used Arrtrok’s comm to call in that his had been stolen, as I ordered comm silence, not knowing who could be listening in. Rex later broke the said silence, implying that he had stabbed a man in his crotch. Next thing I was able to hear, were shots being fired, and engines ignited before Rex could be seen flying further into the city on a Jetpack. In the meantime, I was talking to a trader regarding food, Fe’ryina was trying to get water purification tablets, and Arrtrok attempted to get a hold of medical supplies. The trader I was talking to mentioned Bareesh’s name, might be worth investigating. Two explosions went off in the meantime, caused by nearby gas pipelines, in which direction Rex was flying. This not only slowed down progress considerably, but we also had to get out of the town rather quickly, as we were seen entering it with him. After gathering supplies, Arrtrok told me about a speeder vendor, where I rented a speeder for the day, to carry the crates. After trying to call in Rex, I got no reply, yet ordered the Ordo to leave, as we could not afford to lose any more time.
Conclusion & consequences
We managed to buy 10 (in words: ten) crates of food, each able to feed two people, 5 (in words: five) crates of water purification tablets and 1 (in words: one) crate of medical supplies. Through the chaos caused by Rex, buying more would have risked everybody’s live, as staying in that town could have created the possibility of the Republic noticing us. The fire caused by the exploding pipelines cannot be connected to the Ordo, as we would soon lose any chance of appealing to the population. Furthermore, the lack of resources might cause both an issue regarding the health and the moral of the Ordo’s followers. Security on the planet will most likely be increased, so we should only consider going back there in case of an emergency. I also hereby formally submit the request, of the individual known as Daemonium Rex to be punished, should he return to the Ordo, or eliminated, should he turn out to prove a liability or danger. Of course, we would have to wait for the Templari and their judgement first.
