Certego was a member of the Ordo Templaris fifth Crusade and a close friend of Ehoc. He served as a medical specialist in the order until his death.

Personal history

Certego has no known family. His home planet is also unknown. His story begins the day he was found by an Imperial contingent on Tatooine. During a raid on slavers, Certego was found with 4 other kids. At the time he was 4. Out of the 5 children found by the imperials, all were sent to their homes, but Certego’s family could not be located and is presumed dead or missing. As a child with no background the Imperial intelligence services took an interest in the boy, and took custody of him. Compared to many children Certego was in many ways lucky. Growing up within the Imperial system he never wanted for anything, and had little hardships aside from his schooling and training. From the very first day Certego was taken inn he was put to training. He went through extensive physical and mental exercises to prepare him to be a field agent. He received the best schooling the Empire had to offer, and early took a liking to the medical studies, biology, physiology and psychology. So much so that he got the opportunity to take a doctors degree, specializing in field surgery. In addition to his medical training, he was made proficient in the use of assault rifles and received extensive close combat training with hand to hand and vibroblade.
His first real operation was at the age of 15. He was assigned to a recon squad on Corellia. Their mission was a somewhat simple one. Scout out and recover intel on the Corellia StarDrive company, one of the main manufacturers of the Republics fleet. The mission was a major failure, as one of the officers on the squad turned out to be a Republic operative working under cover. Out of the 9 men on the team only 3 made it back, Certego and two of the other agents. They survived due to their shared stealth and camouflage training, and with the help of Certegos medical expertise.
During de-brief however the whole incident was swept under the carpet and the official standing of the Empire was that the operation never took place. This was to save face, and to appear not to be in direct conflict with the Republic. During many other black ops operations Certego got to hone his skills as a operative and a medic, always behind enemy lines always unofficial. Certego became a shadow, no official record of his existence, only going under a number or a cover name. At one point Certego worked alongside Dr Lokin, but due to a dispute of ethics between them their cooperation ended. As a secret agent Certego never had much freedom to pursue his private projects, but he did manage to fit in some studies. Mostly of local wildlife and fauna of the planets he was stationed at. This furthered his medical knowledge. He also made sure to learn the basics of Sith believes and religion, considering they were the ones who ultimately issued his orders. He could never seem to grasp the nature of the force however, seeing the world more as calculated chaos.
After the initial fall of the Sith Empire to the forces of Zakuul the Empire was in disarray and intelligence services broke down. Agents without records like Certego disappeared without a trace, and were now free to follow their own path. It was after this Certego met what would become a close ally in the uprising against Zakuul. Ehoc, the Sith Lord. Certego found Ehocs attitude strange and refreshing, it was unlike most Sith Lords, not so arrogant or demeaning. This lay the foundation of their joint efforts. The Sith Lord had initially tried to order Certego to do some missions, but soon realized that this was no longer a pawn of the empire, this Agent was free. Today their cooperation is a loose one, based on mutual respect and a common goal.
Lately Certego has been on a personal quest to uncover ancient datacrons in search of long lost knowledge. Specifically a myth of a long lost technique of healing that supposedly surpasses anything used today. The secondary objective, a fabled vibroblade.
