Athelstann was a member of the Ordo Templaris fifth Crusade until her death at the hands of former Imperatrix Vexe.

Personal history

Athelstann would be born into the Sith Empire on the brink of declaring war against the Republic in the 1st Great Galactic War. Raised by her parents in the wealth district of Kass City and named after her mother Athelstann Xelairkesmas, Athelstann would be brought up to be a Sith from an early age and would sent to the Academy to begin her training to become a Sith at the age of 12, despite some objections from her mother who tried to keep her out of the Academy for as long as possible. In the years she would spend at the Academy she would survive her trials, the Overseers noted that she possessed an adequate skill in lightsaber and hand to hand combat but excelled in her force attributes, one specific occasions tells of a trip into the Wilderness of Dromand Kass to read and study texts while also defending against the wildlife. Observers comment that on more than one occasion while studying the texts beasts would come out of the foliage but would be too fearful to attack the young girl and would simply stay put till the creature turned tail and went back into the thick overgrowth.
After her final trials had been complete, Athelstann would be assigned to a young Lord Yl'rac whom had been given his title following the assassination of his master by his hands. The two would serve the next 5 years in Empirical Territory overseeing the preparation for the Invasion of the Republic till at the age of 20 she would would become his Apprentice and a year later his fiancée, engaged while on a return trip to Dromand Kass. In the final 7 years till the beginning of the Great Galactic War the two would marry and start a family, wanting to do so before the war in case they would fall in battle. Athelstann would conceive two children, a son and a daughter naming them after members of her husbands family. Its in this period where Athelstann's relationship was to take a dark turn, it would be the happiest time of her life but also the worst. Her husband Triik Nalyd was becoming aggressive and controlling, he would be abusive towards Athelstann and her children who she tried desperately to protect. Her father would die of natural causes 3 years before the start of the war and her mother ridden with grief would die a few months later.  Athelstann would fall into a great depression following her parents deaths and the continued abuse from her husband who had forbad her from contact with her parents, making Athelstann feel responsible for her mothers death. These event would lead up to Athelstanns family crisis only a few years before the Great War. An argument between her and her husband would spiral out of control and this time the abuse would be catastrophic. Triik would torture his wife. Athelstann not wanting to hurt her husband would take the relentless abuse, the lasting effects would be scaring over her body, most noticeably her face which remains as a constant reminder of the events. Triik wouldn't stop there, he would also take the couples children from their beds where they were hiding as usual when the abuse started and proceed to torture them in front of the weak, shattered Athelstann who would have to sit through their endless screams for what seemed like hours time eventually both would perish from their wounds, first her son, then her daughter. As her daughters body slumped to the floor she would be overcome by rage, pain, grief. She would, though unable to move, use the force to break into the mind of her husband, any love that once held her back now diminished as she slowly turns the man to insanity, creating visions of great horrors and making his brain think he is in great physical pain. Triik would kill himself by tearing out his own eyes to try stop the horrific images from tormenting him, dying of blood lose. Servants of the household would recover Athelstann and nurse her back to health after the screaming and yelling had finally subdued.
The following years of Athelstanns life are muddled, uncertain and unknown. Following the family crisis Athelstann would be formally given the title of Lord, partly for her efforts in the build to the war and partly for killing her husband and, what was believed, the rest of her family. The Great Galactic War would begin and Athelstann would jump between serving the Empire in its military campaigns as wells as personal ventures where she would make it her goal to completely destroy the Nalyd family legacy. It is believed that Athelstann would in this time frame aquire her iconic cloak and rings, stolen from the Nalyd families many heirlooms. Specific details on the missions she undertook are classified. Specific details on her ventures are known only to her. Athelstann never in this time took an apprentice to our knowledge. The events between the Galactic wars and the Eternal Empires conquests are thus concluded.
Upon the Eternal Empires Conquests of the Galaxy, Athelstann would be by our knowledge stranded on Tatooine after the ship she was on was destroyed by the Eternal Empires fleet. With the Empire seemingly lost Athelstann became a hermit on the planet of Tatooine. After a dozen years on the planet Athelstann would come into contact with the Tweilek Vexe. Aiding the woman to return to power of the Atrox Ascensus then joining the order herself with a new master and new sense of purpose. She would serve as a Lord of the Order and advisor to Vexe. Upon the Ascensus disbandment she would like many join Fenrir and Ehoc in the Ordo Templaris.
