Scion gene theory

The Scion gene theory is a belief held by the Imperium which proposes that many of the supernatural abilities of the Scions is somehow genetic.

Historical Basis

Scions have an increased resistance to daemonic corruption & mental powers such as mind control & even mind reading. They also do not seem overly affected by the presence of psychic blanks & even Psykers to a degree. Since the majority of Scions are native born Edenians, it is assumed that these peculiarities are the result of some form of genetic mutation.

Cultural Reception

The Scions claim that their peculiarities are bestowed upon them by their faith in the one true God. To them, this theory is merely an attempt to deny the one true God & blaspheme his power.
