The Free Cities of Yeran

The Free Cities of Yeran were established by former slaves of Genna who fled into the harsh Yeran desert, a previously considered inhospitable wasteland. Thanks to the druidic prowess of one of these free-men, water was drawn from the sand from deep within the earth and crops that were planted in the barren dirt soon began to flourish. Settlements cropped up throughout the wastes using the druidic skills now learned by many of the free-men. As time went on the settlers starting using their only resource, sand, to make settlements, sandstone cities began to overtake the spread of tents, and over time massive enchanted glass structures began to stretch into the sky, the most famous of which being The Magnalain Spires, beautiful stained glass reflecting all colours throughout the city. This trend spread to other settlements and within 100 years Yeran had been transformed from a harsh wasteland into hospitable bubble cities built of glass and sandstone, artistry began to flourish and soon Yeran was renowned as a haven for those interested in the arts. Soon after automaton tech from Ushgard was combined with the magic of the glass-smiths and fully glass automatons now tend to the tasks of the cities, tending crops and collecting water, all fully automated making Yeran the forerunner in automaton technology.
