The Curator
The Curator is The External responsible for collecting and logging unique and special items from history.
The Curator is most likely the grandest collector of items and antiquities on The Material Plane. He spends his eternal days roaming from place to place, trying to find unique and special items to add to his collection and protect.
His role is a fairly simple one though many argue about how good he is at it. The Curator sees his role as building a collection of important items, items that represent history and ensure the story of the Mortal Races is eternally understood. This is agreed upon by the other Externals, however they disagree that The Curator can and should sell parts of his collection in order to 'spread the knowledge they provide'.
The Curator seems to be the only of The Externals that has fallen prey to the temptations of gold and coin, working more as a traveling merchant rather than a collector. He argues however that this is fine, as any good curator must part with aspects of their collection in order for other curators to have access. He keeps the supposedly important or dangerous items to himself, or at least only sells them to 'trustworthy' or 'honourable' figures, ensuring that his role is performed to the somewhat best of his ability.
The Curator is one of The Externals an adventurer is most likely to meet, as they often haunt the same ancient ruins and dungeons, looking for their next score, whether that be an upgrade to equipment, uncovering a formerly hidden piece of lore, or just achieving something that will catch a good a bargain.
