The Boneyard
The Boneyard is the plane souls go to be judged and delivered to their final resting place.
Formed at the end of The First Revolution, The Boneyard was Viskara, The Creator's solution to the absence of Azdur, The Concept Itself. The new world order ran by the recently ascended Numen would greatly suffer if nobody could die, and so Viskara made it so anyone who suffered a mortal blow, instead of surviving, would have their soul moved from The Material Plane to the Boneyard, the land of the dead. They would then be escorted to their final resting place, whether The Grand Mountain of Heaven or The Nine Layered Hells or anywhere in-between.
The plane is run by Vasana, The Dark Matron and her Psychopomp assistants. Vasana overlooking and judging all souls, and deciding if they can return to their bodies through magic, or if they must pass on to their final resting place.
It is possible for mortal souls to go to the Boneyard through planar travel, however they pass unseen by the souls of the dead, not able to interact with anyone they may be looking for. Mortals that make their way to the Boneyard are often quickly captured by the psychopomps and brought to the feet of Vasana's throne, brutally and efficiently judged for attemtpting to interfere with the natural order of things.
