Mensus

Mensus is one of the five capitals found across Orcerta, and is therefore one of the most densely populated areas in the world. It is located in the mid-western part of Orcerta and is the capital which is furthest to the west.

Location and size

Mensus covers big land area and takes up around 4.000 km². This area includes both the main city found west of the [LAKE] as well as the island in the lake called Saperentia. The city is home to over 50 million people, most of which who lead their entire life within the city borders.

Balance in mind and body

The City is known for its research and they are the leading settlement when it comes to uncovering new information, learning and teaching. They have many bright minds and it might not come as a surprise to know that the city is founded partly on the principles of the mind domain. Furthermore, the second domain that was kept in mind when the city was made, is that of the mind domain. This was done, as the founders believed it was crucial to keep a balance between mental well-being and physical well-being, to optimise the output of both domains and ways of living.

City planning and districts

When the city was planned out, it was made so that the giant area was split into a handful of smaller sections. There is a total of 6 districts. Five of them are found on mainland Mensus and the last is on the island of Saperentia.

Elite district

The district on the island is the elite district, which is home to the biggest library in the whole world. This is the storage point for all known information. Furthermore, the island houses the [ELITE SCHOOL], which is the home of the best teachers in every domain. The island also has a small housing area for the researchers, teachers and students who live permanently or semi-permanently on the isle. There is also a market area so that these, albeit limited number, of permanent residents have access to food and other goods.

Administration district

The administration district borders up to the lake and is placed in the vertical middle point of the city. This is where the government council and leadership of the city is located. It is placed here so that all of the 5 other districts have equal access to it.
The most eyecatching building in this district is the main administration building, Mensus Glass Halls. It has the appearance of a big castle and towers above the rest of the district.

Base districts

The remaining four districts are known as the base districts, since they are the basis for the actual life, work and other ongoings in the city. These districts look like a pizza slice, but the tips of each slice are gone, as these are the areas used for the administration district.


the base districts are split into 3 layers, so that each of these leayers connect with the corrensponding layer from the other districts. The areas are planned out the exact same way so that you may easily find your way around the other districts, even if you´re not familiar with them. To differentiate the districts, they are colour coded.


The outer layer of the districts are the market sections. This section is closes to the outer bounds and so it is the easiest to recieve import here without having to drag it through the entire city.


The middle layer of the base districts are the housing areas where people live. They are both close to the markets and the research area, so that they can access food as well as their work places without causing major traffic issues.


The inner layer is the research district. This is where most of the research in the city happens, except for that which takes place on the island.

Parks and book cafés

Scattered through all layers and areas of the different districts are two distinct types of facilities. Parks and book cafés. It was decided that these places should be easy to access from anywhere as the city. So whether you´re at home, at work or out buying supplies, you always have a book nearby or a place to work out. This way, the city ensures that its layout promote a good lifestyle for its citizens.


The book cafés both have the option for buying books as well as just reading in the establishment as if it were a library, as long as you purchase a beverage as well.


The parks usually have areas meant for work outs, but also areas with benches and grills promoting social interaction and petting zoos with cute animals to promote happiness.

Architecture and city appearance

The leaders of Mensus make sure to uphold the city´s appereance. Litter get´s picked up at the speed of lightning, bushes and trees are trimmed to perfection and the grass isn´s a centimeter too long.


Furthermore, the architectural style of the city was also chosen with aesthetics and mental influence in mind. The general style seen in Mensus is timber-framed houses. The minimalistic but also slightly decorated look of these buildings create a calm yet pretty facade for the eyes to feast on.


The city is in general very neat and filled with greenery and aesthetically pleasing buildings and areas. This is done to promote mental well-being and improve the life quality of the citizens.
