Mensus Glas Castle

General Information

Mensus Glas Castle is one of the five [Inner Balance] buildings and is, as the name suggests, located in Mensus. Just like the other four buildings, it was constructed after the capital war taking place 1500 years ago.

Naming

Unlike the its name would suggest, it is not made out of, or featuring excessive amounts, of glas. It derives its name from the "Glas"-family who not only sparked the idea of establishing the Inner and Outer Balance council but also layed the groundstone of the Mensus Glas Castle itself.

Structure

Already when entering Mensus and looking down its massive main streets you can spot the five giant towers which are set on each roads end.   These towers are connected by walls that are perforated with arches through which the main streets themselves, but also smaller walkways from all districts, can enter the main court.   When entering the inner yard of Mensus Glas Castle, the first two things you'll notice are the massive glass ceiling covering almost the whole court and protecting the visitors from the weather; and the enourmous water fountain in the center which depicts the founder of the Castle and the Inner Balance itself: Ignatius Glas.   Looking through the glass ceiling you get a feeling for the sheer size of the castle which reaches 15 stories, or 50m, into the sky.

Residents

While you can see the towers from almost anywhere in the city, visiting them without permission is impossible. The reason for this is, that each tower is reserved for two families of the Inner Council, and their staff, each.

Security

To ensure the safety of not only the Inner Balance members but all visitors, the Mensus Glas Castle has specially trained guards in front of each entrances as well as patrolling the premises.
