Four Blossoms
Company of traders formed in the early 16th century, 1528 in fact, to trade with the Southern Ocean and beyond. They were one of the first Bayport companies to concentrate on the southern trade. They were quite successful throughout the 16th century, though always in proportion to Bayport's place in that world. Like most of Bayport's commercial interests, though, they exploded in the 1590s and 1600s, as they took over much of the northern trade. They concentrated on the southern trade, not really traveling to the Kingdom as the other Bayport companies did, and they were quicker to move into production, acquiring plantations and other resources as early as the 1540s. In the 1610s, they are known for the southern trade, and for being more mysterious and probably more dangerous than the other companies.
Public Agenda
Trading company, concentrating on the tropical and eastern trade. They make some effort to make this all appear legitimate, though they are less fussy about appearances than some. They are rumored to be engaged in slave trading, piracy, and so on, and they are less aggressive in denying it than even Clawfoot.
Assets
Very rich: many ships, docks and warehouses in Bayport and many islands in the southern ocean, as well as on Chult and the Jungle Continent. They also control a number of production facilities - plantations, mines, factories and so on, throughout the south.
