Wrencher Pistol

Also called The Ratchet, and Engineer from translation issues, and "The Staple Gun" in slang, its a bulky but popular pistol from the Jraki Kvot catalog. Its often a rusty brown look, almost resembling aged industrial metal, and actually popular for its dingy appearance and thought to give a rustic and tough look to those that use it. Alterations have seen a black and murky silver appearance. Its unique in its build with most of the weight distributed to a large handle, and a wide rear chamber that uses a proprietary boxed magazine inserted into a sliding tray at the back. The front of the gun can be modified to host a number of attachments, with the most common being either a hand grip or flashlight, but can be as intensive as a scattergun slug loader, or a thermal compressor that converts the bullets into more of a molten-tipped projectile.
The pistol has semi-auto, and full-auto modes, and tends to shoot rounds that have a white spark when the clash with other metal. The rounds are heavy but projected at a high velocity, able to be a sort of middle-ground between armor piercing and generic munition. Its vicious to uncovered or softly armored targets, and effective enough against most standard armor. Its speculated that bullets burying into flesh often fragment with their rounds, potentially with serrated splits below the tip that shatter under pressure. This has also caused occasional 'flak' from missed shots. As such its considered a very effective and dangerous pistol, used quite widely by the Kahnis Union and others.
