Tidal Staff
Sometimes also called a Tidal Spear. Its a staff produced around the New Pawslovia migration. Its electronic with a few tactile functions beyond being a simple stick. Often has an off-timber tint, and a bit short at length. The top of it resembles a spear in shape (not an actual blade), while the bottom is often a weighted ball-pummel (can be switched and customized). The battery to further functions is located in the tip. Whole, the tidal staff can produce light, a frontal force-field, and emit a contact-stun. Yet there is a separate compartment to split the staff, and the power-half opens into a shaft and trigger with a moderately-heavy short ranged blaster capability. Its often only seen by a small set of "civilian" lionesses related to Pawslovicore upbringing, or among those with close trades.
History
Created by Sycore, they tested the waters of giving lionesses more gift-like instruments of trust in only very small circles, working gradually to the point of finding some worthy to recruit into the 9Lives Network program. Early in its history, this was a signature weapon, however it was quickly seen as obsolete. Between their assassin role making it unusual to encourage heavy blaster fire, and the mediocre melee output, they opted for them to instead be trained and given the wytol and compensate for the lack of alternate utility in other ways. Tidal spears instead slipped out into more public use, though only in sparse cases or very well-off harems. Currently they're often only found with some "lucky" female guards, or passed as family hierlooms, though without Sycore's deep cares its also been found easy to copy and recreate the tool for cheap in other fields.
