Ryclin Dances

Being somewhat of an eccentric bipedal species, ryclins have established what can be mostly described as a few diverse dance styles that have been cataloged in OA society's recreational sport. For the most part there's not a huge emphasis placed on social dancing, or dance-dress. Common Keeper clothes, track suits, or even flashier coder monk gear can be used for most dances, and are common for casual sport. However custom outfits will be listed for the cases where someone might be more prepared, or into it than others...

Simple Dance

The simplest form of a ryclin dancing is often made in the presence of simple rhythmic hops, and little intermittent body motions. As they developed quickly around technology, a lot of time this is paired with touch-lit dance floors, and made to blend environment with their energy to create a colorful display. There isn't a more elaborate name, its simply referred to as a common ryclin dance, or the default of a lone dancing ryclin. Any custom outfits are often made to sync or work with light shows.

Ryclin Arrow

The Ryclin Arrow is a dance more inspired directly by human antiquity, as well as an older early social exercise of their own. Akin to a conga line, its as much of a dance as it is a coordinating challenge for ryclins to line up, latch onto one's shoulder, and see how much can form and move with a line that will include timed hops, small convulsions or turns, and sometimes even more elaborate break and reformations that are supposed to stay in sync. Ryclin will often be inspired to still try the original conga, but often are too excitable to stay in a proper form with Vahamins or others, not to mention occasional difficulties from potential size differences. Custom outfits for Ryclin Arrow style are very rare, but may include suits that nearly gamify it more with a tracker of motioned points, or pre-pathed plan to flow in. Often such attire is heavily digitalized or heavy, and discouraged in addition to the fact its more a game of surprise. Its among one of the only widely seen ryclin social dances. Popular with the young, and occasionally parents will even bring their pups on special pouch-bags that "ride along" for amusement.

Prey Pounce

Also called The Kyberian Belly Dance, with the name basis more coincidental with the belly dances of Vahamin and other societies, though some influences have since crossed. With ryclin its a more literal take, and was said to originate from boasting hunters trying to argue about who's meal took more effort to capture or behaved more aggressive. It would evolve a more staged system for the dance, more planned than after actual hunting. The dance requires the ryclin to eat a sizeable living meal, and to then try and keep it moving inside as the 'dance'. The ryclin itself often shimmies, takes smaller hops, or little 'jog' motions, essentially keeping diverse momentum for their full belly to pull against. While custom outfits eventually took inspiration from the more multi-cultural understanding of belly dances (which oddly still applies to males, as ryclin never held this as a gendered style until some late influences), ryclins tend to accessorize the jewels or garments in less soft designs, for more crimson or acidic colors to hype up the 'hunting' aesthetic. For example, a planned event might even include a skull belly-jewel resembling the prey they captured to eat for the dance. More eccentric or original but rare designs include all bone materials, or cropped/mesh-cut solavore suits.

Static Style

Static Style, or sometimes called Shadow Dancing, is a late developed style requiring deliberate choreography, planning, and computing, and was later even adopted in forms by Vahamins and even Rust-goths, but detested by the few vyllks to witness it. The dance itself isn't too specific, but requires the user to program digital reflections or projected videos of themselves, and dances that seem in-sync or in motion with the others. Often this may be done one at a time, only aligning right in the end, with the live user or others still in the mix to interact. The end result should be a party display sometimes held entirely by what looks like one individual, or other mix of friends, sometimes with the potential of unusual mob-sized display variations planned into advance.
