Mauling Comet

The Mauling Comet is a bit of an underground melee & explosive device. It emulates a mace, but with two sides. The top is a longer mace with four-ridges, almost akin to some Italian styles. It projects a mostly unseen field, and when wielded and active it will project a motion based system of reverse-shielding that fires out forceful blasts. This shockwaves may activate when its clashed with, or when swung hard enough as to send it out in a short sub-2m reach. The opposite side has a loading mechanism, and recieves a small ball-shaped piece. Once active, small spikey energy-studs read outwards and look for a target. While they rarely pierce, they 'stick'. The ball then detaches, and primes as an explosive that clings to the target. It can be detonated from the staff, reloaded, and repeated. The weapon is a favorite with Vanguard Trisha
