M'ovgurd (Meh-ove-gird)

Commonly called Star Shapers by most more than their normal name, while a few may refer to the species collectively in one representing name they met. The M'ovgurd are a strange and enigmatic race that somewhat reverse shape-shift in a way that effects more around them. Its nearly impossible to tell where they actually came from, but are believed to be heavily modified and very unsocial between each other for the way they travel and reshape things often more alone, and yet with such immense power. Furthermore, many are believed to actually be natural clones, occurring in an odd process where males can spread a copy of their likeness onto most females of other races. Their origin is a mystery, but they seem drawn to gas planets where they feel free to transfer and build energy, sometimes making their own planetoid or artificial moons over the planet. However they've been known to cause great trouble in rare circumstances of invading inhabited worlds. They're still surprisingly advanced, with many able to infest energy into small devices that become androids, or copies of androids. They often travel on single-manned ships others call 'comets', and even occasionally adorn or imitate things like armor and guns between their more ordinary powers - or even shape things from their powers to resemble and act like such technology.

Basic Information

Anatomy

They tend to appear as tall, lanky humanoid owl-like creatures. They have tall figures, two legs ending in two front talons, a third back toe, and a stubby balancing toe in between the two dominant forward toes. Their mid-long necks end on a more spherical head, with a small beak, and glowing vibrant eyes that often appear mostly solid in color unless dilating or peering out at an odd angle. The necks are very strong, intended to help carry big spiking horns that sometimes weigh like stones when radiating energy. Their bodies are wooly in feathers, especially males having thicker fur, yet their wings are feathered and slip into a strange 'pouch' on their back between the shoulder blades. They have only a stubby tail, mostly seen as a furry pointer along their backside.   When threatened, the m'ovgurd can hunch down, and use its wings in the pouch to give a very strong and 'bigger' look. When truly wishing to advance or prey on something, it will often prove its power. They tend to discharge energy from their horns, and conduct it with their body, often using the claws and motions of the arms or guided wings to produce mystic effects of vapors, smells, and scenes that can manifest into a tangible reality. When eating, they need only small substances, but can seemingly ingest a wide variety of organic things. Instead of letting out waste, the dispersing of excess energy tends to come from their powers starting to end more unpredictable, as if the 'waste' and bile is coming out in sloppy creations for a brief period of time. Breaking the horns are difficult, but believed to actually have blood-veins and can cause serious heart trauma if shattered, and halts much of any chance at using energies and abilities.   They tend to often be noted as having white, brown, gold, or cloudy-blue colors, with either black or navy-blue horns. Males tend to be woolier, with extra fur especially along the center of their chest, and elbows. They actually lack a full genital area, and are believed (somewhat skeptically) to breed from extending a cloudy vapor of their energies from the pelvis, into coiling and bonding with a female, even able to cross-pollinate other species if with a more direct clone without proper female DNA. Their true females often have more back-curved horns, and have an abdominal pouch for carrying eggs the size of a car-tire. Its never seen how they actually lay the eggs, and some speculate it actually comes out into the pouch. Yet they are not marsupials, and the infant is born functional from the egg with no other nutrition other than standard eating.
