Doclin
Short-hand for Docile Ryclin, the doclin was an experiment that didn't fully go as planned. Human professors of the Vahamin calibre wished to take full use of Ryclin biology tampering to breed a form that would eat the same meals as them. This way, the two could co-exist on more morally adjacent grounds, and culinary ideals.
They bred ryclin that had much flatter teeth, tougher and more rigid jawlines made for tighter chewing, and completely rewired elements of their hormones, enzymes, and such to be wired to process different foods and ingredients in a different way. However this messed more with the neurology than expected. Not only were they slower reacting, mildly dim-witted, and terrible at self-motivated work, but even in the act of re-adjusting their pallets, there were sporadic and inconsistent problems with certain allergens, or odd new diseases. Furthermore, the ryclin of this sort almost had to be watched, and best worked as almost a sociable form of a pet.
The doclin was a vastly controversial development when the first signs were caught of it going wrong. Doclin act developed a strong feeling of resentment and pity in the major ryclin community, and initially peace was questioned between the OA government. Humans quickly concluded they could not in fact, breed their ideal ryclin, and would agree to disagree with the majority about how food is had in life. Still, the doclin lives on through passing generations, mostly dwelling in more human dominant areas.
