Earth-Surge

The Earth Surge is a technique to force rock formations out of the ground in varied ways. Depending on the direction of the casting, it may be used as an attack, a defense, or a mean of propulsion. Its principle is the fundamental opposite of Earth-Shatter and requires more focus despite being less showy. Earth Surge can be channeled through the feet. The resulting constructs, once paired with Earth-Lightening and Earth-Binding, it can supply the user with great throwing apparatuses. Otherwise, it is greatly appreaciated by construction workers.

Effect

Upon impact or touch, the earth coallesces thus rapidly turning into a solid mount that surges in the direction laid by the caster's energies.

Manifestation

The emanation of mana from this technique before being unleashed is easy to perceive, its actual manifestation depends on what the caster wished but most often is a single column of mana-infused dirt rising in one direction.

Material Components

As with most Earth-based techniques, direct access to soil in decent quantity is necessary for the technique to activate. Actual stone may put a lot of strain on the user's pool of energies while sand is too incohesive to properly follow the caster's will.
