Dorian the Keeper of Knowledge
Dorian was crafted with a combination of Alaeum’s generosity and Zaria’s logic, and her passion is collecting all of the knowledge the world has to offer. Likewise, she also believes that knowledge is a great benefit that when shared, can lead to better understanding and a further lasting peace. Dorian does not prefer to partake in direct combat and instead uses ranged combat in the heat of battle. She possesses an ornate iron combat longbow called the Cosmic Testament in which she uses not only for shooting down opponents, but also for distributing pieces of knowledge to those who need it. Nowadays, she is known as the patron deity of knowledge and communication and watches over the Celestial Archive, her own private compendium of all of the world’s knowledge and information. When her scribe followers need information, Dorian will sometimes send them a mystical message or hint of some kind if she believes they deserve it. Her symbol is an open scroll with a pair of wings in the center, representing her desire to spread knowledge throughout the world.
Depictions
The Keeper of Knowledge has a very symbolic representation in much of her iconography, befitting of those who seek to further their intelligence. Most commonly, she appears as a tall, gaunt woman of divinely crystalline skin and beautiful silver hair. She wears a billowing, armored cloak that is seemingly composed from various pieces of parchment and scrolls. These flowing papers sprawl out into all directions, which symbolizes the vast arrays of knowledge she distributes across the worlds. The most noteworthy feature of this deity is her numerous glowing eyes that line her face, arms, and much of her upper body much like tattoos. It is said her knowing gaze is able to pierce the veil between realms themselves, giving her near unlimited knowledge of all things, which she keeps safely stored in her archive.The Festival of Bonds
The holy day of the Keeper of Knowledge is known as the Festival of Bonds, and it takes place on the third day of the Harvest Hearth Moon when the growing season enters its warmer period. The festivities are in commemoration of relationships such as family friends, and cordial communications between allies of any kind. This event is very significant given her tenants regarding the importance of communication and the sharing of knowledge and experience. This holy day is celebrated through a harmonious sharing of cultures in which each party involved brings an item or element of their own culture or experience in dedication to the Keeper of Knowledge. These elements are all brought together for a harmonious revelry of song, dance, and banquet that goes on through sundown. This event is meant to be a reminder of the importance of communal experience, as though by departing from the festival, each attendee takes a piece of all other participants with them so they may grow stronger through unity.Commandments of the Keeper of Knowledge
